Since you do not have to worry about waking up early the next day, you can spend the night cooking and having turkey with your family. While waiting for the bird to be cooked and served, you can assign members of the family to do some chores in preparation for dinner. The Turkey Trot is one of the many activities held during Thanksgiving Day. If there is one in your community, you can consider taking part in the event. It is not only healthy and fun but also a good way to support causes.
Watch the Hollywood Christmas Parade
You can take your family to the Hollywood Christmas Parade. The event takes place along the 3.5-mile stretch of Holywood and Sunset Boulevards. The event started in 1928 and was originally called the Santa Claus Lane Parade. The cost of the ticket is quite reasonable.
If going to Hollywood is illogical, you can watch it at Macy’s. Just like in Tinseltown, the event at the venue will also feature attractive floats and customized balloons so children can enjoy.
Organize a Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner
You can also involve the neighborhood in the celebration of Thanksgiving Day by organizing a community dinner. One member of the neighborhood can act as the host while the others can be assigned to a particular food or responsibility. At the end of the night, the host can bring out shot glasses bulk and the group can share a glass of wine. The kids can exchange corporate gifts us.
